URL Filter by IP Address (Not Unfiltered by IPAddress)

Currently, it looks like I can add systems to the “unfiltered IP Address” box, but I’d like to setup url filters the opposite way. I’d like to have everything unfiltered except for device (ip addresses) I add to a list. Is that possible with IP Fire?

There is a “Banned IP addresses” box also

I’m not sure what the “Banned IP addresses” means exactly. The url-filter documentation page says, “Banned IP Addresses. Entered IP address(es) or network(s) will be forbiden, regardless of the active filter rules.” Forbidden from what? I’m assuming that means that won’t be able to access anything which is not what I’m looking for. Also, I’ll edit the wiki page and fix the misspelling of ‘forbiden’.

Hi,

I’m assuming that means that won’t be able to access anything which is not what I’m looking for.

yes, this assumption is correct.

Basically, you want to apply the URL filter on one source IP address only. This should be possible defining a “time constraint” for the source network you want to reach any destinations. Pick destination “any” and access “allow”.

It’s a unfortunately a bit confusing, but should work IMHO.

Also, I’ll edit the wiki page and fix the misspelling of ‘forbiden’.

Thank you for doing so.

Thanks, and best regards,
