Hi all, I am on IPFire 2.29 (x86_64) - Core-Update 192 and was looking at getting QoS up and running and for some reason, the ppp0 and imp0 graphs are not displaying:
Anyone perhaps have a solution for me, please?
Thanking you.
Hi all, I am on IPFire 2.29 (x86_64) - Core-Update 192 and was looking at getting QoS up and running and for some reason, the ppp0 and imp0 graphs are not displaying:
I can’t tell from your screenshot, it’s scrolled down too low. Is QoS on? If it is, how long has it been on?
Apologies, yes it is on and has been on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Is that the reason?? If so, then please excuse the dumb question!!! LOL
Sometimes when you first turn it on it takes a minute or two for the graphs to appear.
How is it configured? Do you have screenshots of the rest of the page?
@bloater99 OK, I am not sure what you mean by “the rest of the page” as that is the whole page.
I am just busy configuring it according to a post I found here on the community, so I will post back once I have finished the configuration.
Thsnk you again.
Gotcha. Once configured, then below the graphs will be Class configurations. That’s what I was looking for, but I guess those will show up when you configure it!
@bloater99 AH!! That is EXACTLY what I am busy with, so now I understand. Will post back once finished. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Ok, so all configured and seems to be working, the imq0 graph is now displaying, but not the ppp0 graph. I will keep an eye on it and see what transpires. Thank you to @bloater99 for assisting.
Hi all, Ok, so after a few days, it seems the PPP0 graph STILL does not want to display for some reason.
Screenshots:
Does anyone have any idea why the PPP0 graph is not displaying, please?
I’m not sure about the graph, but I see that none of your classes are defined. For example, Class 200 should have Port-Rule: icmp.
edit: your screenshots do not show Class 10x. This is probably why, if they are not set up.
For example, here is mine:
Ah, OK, I am with you. I was following this thread: Example Customized QoS - Update
And the poster there stated that the two files for portconfig and level7config were “outside the scope of the post” so I incorrectly assumed that they were not important.
Thank you, @bloater99 I will look into those and see what transpires. LOL, old dog here learning new tricks!! It’s quite something!
EDIT: LMAO, I see THAT thread I am following is yours!!!
OK, I THINK I know where the issue is. In my QoS page, NONE of the 100 classes are showing up, hence no PPP0 graph. The problem is I simply do not know WHY they are not showing up, as I copied the settings basically word for word from the thread link above, changing only the bandwidth values. There are also no errors that I can see in the logs, unless there are some other logs I can check?.
EDIT: Not to worry, I found the issue. In the thread above, the 10x class connection is named red0, in mine, it is ppp0. As soon as I changed it to ppp0, graph showed up AND 10x classes were displaying. Silly mistake, but that is how one learns.
Again, thank you to @bloater99 for all the assistance. It is ALWAYS much appreciated.
