In the IPFre web interface, my Dynu DDNS entry stays in RED although when I run manually in a command prompt the command ddns -d update-all --force, I do not get any error message and even get the message
Dynamic DNS update for xxxxxxxx (Dynu) successful
Logging successful update for xxxxxxx
Okay. Then please show the output from the DDNS logs for a time period when the update was occurring and failing.
Go to the WUI menu Logs - System Logs. Then in the drop down box labelled Section: select DDNS, select the appropriate date and then press the Update button.
I have got some errors initially, but now updates, at least in the log, seem to be successful.
However, I do not see in th log the latest updates triggered but doing an instant update : last entry in log is from 10:47 although I have just now redone an update aroound 12:30.
I had effectively some authentication errors because I was doing some tests facing weird behaviour using the Dyna credentiel or the IP update onevia a coomand line script.
Hum … entry still in red on the web interface.
If I go in the DDNS log I can a last successfull update yesterday around 18:00. But if I press update I do not get any entry in the DDNS log for today and entry remains in RED, Weird.
Looking through the code for the ddns WUI page the hostname is displayed in red when the IP in your DDNS provider does not match your public IP on your IPFire system.
If you go into your Dynu account, does the IP address assigned for your hostname match the red Internet IP address shown on your WUI Main home page?
Yes they do match. I have compared the Dynu registred address with the outpu t of the site ipinfo.io verified from a browser on a machine connected to the internal network of IPFire.
Could it be linked to a reverse lookup issue ?
I am behind a 5G Internet (not ADSL, nor fiber).
Yes and it is not the same which is normal since the interface red0 is on a subnet where is also connected the internal interface of the Internet router. IPfire cannot have have your public Internet IP address unless you run directly on the Intrenet router.
