Core 190: Webproxis service did not start after reboot

Hi,
After some clients did not get access to the internet, I rebooted the
firewall.

Now the webproxis service did not start.
I cleared the cache, restarted the service, but the service did not start.

The log file is shown
Squid Parent: squid-1 process 11981 exited with status 0

Hi.

I have IPFire 2.29 (x86_64) - ActualizaciĂłn del nĂşcleo 191 Development Build: master/e3b5000b and and I also have these errors.

My profile is: www.ipfire.org - Profile f583b15e74e20477b02c13b05d961386153d2c35

Proxy error:

I had upgraded from 190 to the “Test version” and I only cleared the cache by pressing the “clear cache” button and then pressing the “save and restart” button.

From that moment on, I have these errors. I have tried restarting IPFire without results.

I’ve been looking for errors in the logs but I can’t find anything apparent.

Regards.

Hi,

I also checked not some other logfile and did not saw something helpful.

Where can I get more information.

How to restart squirt manually ?

Best regards
R.

Hi @ritchie.

I don’t think that’s the problem since I don’t have clamav installed.

I think it’s collateral damage. I’ve seen squidGuard errors and I don’t think that’s the problem. I think that since Squid doesn’t work properly, no plugin that pulls Squid will work properly.

Hi @bonnietwin, I haven’t read the thread you posted yet. I’ll read it and see if it has anything to do with it. Thanks in any case.

Hi @ritchie

Maybe my problem is not the same as yours. I think my proxy service never stopped, at least in the GUI.

In any case, try the same thing I did and let us know.

Cheers.

That can happen. If the database is updated but the web proxy is not restarted then it will keep running.
It is dependent on the timings of the database update and the web proxy restart.
