Wireguard Client Gets No DNS

Hello, I sort of successfully setup Wireguard for a client. The Wireguard client can access the LAN without issue. However, the client reports it has no DNS when WIreguard is turned on, and I see a white key with a white ! mark along with a no DNS message - Android phone. I checked the client WIreguard setting, and it shows the DNS Server is set to 10.0.0.1 which is my IPFire box. The Wireguard DNS setting on the IPFire box is also set to 10.0.0.1. My Endpoint is using a duckdns.org name. I have not added any Firewall rules to IPFire. The only rule is the default Block port 25 (TCP). I also looked under the Firewall log to see if I could find the client IP and no joy. That should show and entry for 10.0.1.1. Any ideas to resolve?

Thank you!

Well. finally figured it out. If you only want LAN access, then use your router IP address. If you want Internet through your Wireguard host, then use an external DNS provider. Better yet, use a privacy oriented DNS provider like Quad9 or CloudFlare as examples. You can also list more than one provider, separated by a comma and no space e.g. 9.9.9.9,1.1.1.1 - This guide was helpful in the discovery. Using WireGuard with a Privacy-Focused DNS Service
