The new forum started in 2019. The old forum was left open in read-only mode for a year for users to identify any key post info to be converted into pdf’s that could be added into the appropriate wiki page, especially if the wiki page had a link to the old forum.
Somewhere in 2020 the old forum was removed. As far as I am aware all links to a forum post in the wiki are either to the new forum or to a pdf copy of the old forum post.
When the new forum started it was recommended not to use links to the old forum as those would eventually be dead and just have a redirect to the new forum main page.
It looks like you have found one of those old links.

In my opinion a forum should never be deleted, but challenges in migration to new software can cause serious issues and trigger such a decision.
