When do you do Core updates

I noticed Core Update 154 came out this week and I am curious if there is a reason to wait with updating

I don’t have another IPFire to consult but I noticed that the official cloud version AWS IPFire is running Core Update 152 and the Exoscale cloud is running 149.

Any of you guys have a protocol you follow?

I could see a possible bump with 155 maybe with Hostpd package.

I noticed Core Update 154 came out this week and I am curious if there is a reason to wait with updating

at the moment, I am unaware of any severe bugs in Core Update 154.

However, please consider installing the testing updates in the first place (more information on that is available here and here). That way, you can install the upcoming update in an environment similar (or even identical) to your production network.

Please report any bugs or flaws occurring during that period, so we can fix them before the final Core Update is released. This way, the entire user base will benefit from your efforts.

I strive to install new Core Updates within 24 hours on my machines.
