What Intel Network Card?

Hello.

I have a supermicro server with onboard
Dual LAN with Intel® Ethernet Controller I210-AT

Now I have the opportunity to buy another network card.
I just gonna use gigabit speed.
The two cards are

Intel I350-T4 V2

Intel X540-T2

I have read www.ipfire.org - Network Adapter Hardware Compatibility List

For the 350 card it say:
Built into Intel motherboard. Tested in virtual machine using KVM, works with both pci passthrough of physical function, and with virtual function using SR-IOV

I know the 540 card is a 10G card.

Is there an important difference between the cards?

Not sure if this helps but I use the 540 card on an intel B760 motherboard and its been solid. I do have sufficient cooling around the card and the PCI temp sensors only indicate 38C.
