What are best settings for Intel CPU in UEFI Bios?

I have experienced in the past that the usual router hardware did not have enough power to achieve the full throughput, so I needed a little more power, for my 1000Mbit internet connection. (encrypted throughput)
My network rack needs about 100 watts/24h/7weeks/365days, where I have a 24-way switch, a NAS, the Ipfire, two USB drives and various fans connected. This has always been the case and is taken into account.

My recent experiences have shown otherwise… that’s why I deactivated it. But I’m still on the trail of something else. I realized that since some update of Ipfire my hardware cabling and the configured VLANs in the switches lead to massive problems at some point, which then manifested themselves in these kernel errors due to massive CPU load and other inexplicable unbound ssl handshake errors.
But since I changed the cabling it seems to work, otherwise unbound is just broken.

Since I had already implemented an orange network with VLAN in Ipfire and also configured the WAN connection in the switches using VLAN and apparently there have been massive problems here since an update, my WLAN APs remain in green for the time being.
It would be nice to be able to assign the AP to the WLAN card using VLAN, but unfortunately this is not possible.

amd_pstate was disabled before and there was a utility module added that test the parameters for amd_pstate and our cpufreq initskript try to load cpufreq driver modules and this testmodule is in the same folder…

I have fixed the initskript now to get rid of this errors.

Does this mean that there was an error in the loaded modules for the CPU and I should no longer get kernel errors?

Yes. With cpufrequtils from testing tree the amd_pstate errors on cpu’s that not support amd_pstate the errors should gone.

looks great and without Kernel errors till now, thx!

I have an obsession with HPE DL 380s and 385s. I’m currently shopping for a DL380 gen10. Not sure what ill do with it but they are fun toys. I currently have an HPE DL385P gen8

I was originally going to set it up as my ipfire router but decided on using my 1920x threadripper. Which hopefully this weekend will go into service.

I know this is an intel related post but i couldn’t resist sharing my toys.
