VPN Tutorial for Windows 10

Hello,

I have a VPN from my IPFire to my Android smartphone. Unfortunately, I have never managed to connect a VPN from the IPFire to my Windows 10 machine. Neither with OpenVPN nor with IPSec.
Is there a complete tutorial to set up a VPN connection with Windows 10.

I would also create a tutorial for the community if it works for me.

Thanks

Hi @nexar this is very easy. I explain it:

  1. You must create certificate in IPFire. You must create well (in “Local VPN Hostname/IP:” put your Public IP or Dyndns).
  2. When you created the certificate, download to W10 (in zip file).
  3. Install OpenVPN client https://swupdate.openvpn.org/community/releases/OpenVPN-2.5.4-I604-amd64.msi
  4. When installed, decompress certificate zip file and you obtein 2 files. One .p12 and another, .ovpn.
  5. Copy to C:\Program files\OpenVPN\config.
  6. Execute icon “OpenVPN GUI” from Desktop.
  7. You have it. Enjoy.

Logically, for it to work, you will have to test it outside of where you have the IPFire. Inside Green or Blue, it doesn’t work.

You can share the mobile internet and test.

Try and say Us.

Regards.

Hi @roberto

thanks for your help.

I already have a VPN on my Android. Do I still need to create a new certificate?
If so, I can only create a new Diffie-Hellmann Key.
If no, which certificate do I need exactly?
