V1410 Not Powering Up

I was able to solve the problem.
The device did not power up, no lights, nothing.
I checked the voltage on the power connector, it measured near zero.
I removed the US plug adaptor plate and looked at the contacts.
One of the contacts was almost completely covered with a thin layer of black plastic (the other one was clear).
I looked at the other adapter plates and they were all clear.
I was able to use a flat bladed screwdriver to pop off the cover plate.
Then I used a utility knife to clear away the excess plastic.
It appears that the defect was due to the electrode leaving a small gap into which the molten plastic flowed.
That said, after clearing the excess plastic away and reassembling the power supply worked properly.
