My old firewall with ipfire finally died. I loaded my old copy of 191 on a new computer and have it running. When I try to use pakfire it won’t show new loads to update to but does get the add-on list and I have added the apcupsd add-on. DNS seems to be working ok (using the google dns servers). Is this load too old to update? HELP!
I would down load the latest version.
and start from there.
Do you have any backups from your last IPfire?
No backup. Shouldn’t need one. Didn’t have much for filters or rules. Guess I may have to start over with a new load.

The DNS seems to be working fine. I think the problem is that I forgot to uncheck the “use ISP DNS”. Pakfire now shows the upgrade to 199 and it’s working away downloading and installing. Thanks for the help folks!
