Update to Core 187 without previous Information

Hi!

I use the IPfire (stable) since many years, and I have never seen an Update to the next Kernel without previous Information via the Blog.
This Morning, my IPfire tells me, there is a pending Update zu Core 187 (and for some Add-Ons)
I also don’t see any Information on ipfire.org (Downloads still show Core 186 as current) and other Channels…

Is this an official Update, or is it possible, that someone managed it to serve me (us) a malicious Update?

Welcome to the IPFire community.

The Core Update 187 is imminently due to be announced.

So this will be an official update but you can always wait until the blog announcement occurs, which should be soon, before doing the update.

Obviously the mirror synchronisation occurred quicker this time for some mirrors than previously. Normally it is the other way round and the announcement has been made and the mirrors are still getting synchronised.

Just to let you know: I have updated to 187 and things run great. Including OpenVPN roadwarriors and net-to-net.
