Hello and good evening,
who can tell me what is going wrong here:
[1591633670] unbound-checkconf[8286:0] error: error parsing local-data at 30 'EdgeSwitch 5XP PoE.xxxxx.yyy 60 IN A 10.16.1.3': Syntax error, could not parse the RR's type
[1591633670] unbound-checkconf[8286:0] error: Bad local-data RR EdgeSwitch 5XP PoE.xxxxx.yyy 60 IN A 10.16.1.3
[1591633670] unbound-checkconf[8286:0] fatal error: failed local-zone, local-data configuration
If I comment out the following lines in /etc/unbound/hosts.conf everything works and Unbound can be started successfully.
#local-data: "EdgeSwitch 5XP PoE.xxxxx.yyy" 60 IN A 10.16.1.3"
#local-data: "3.1.16.10.in-addr.arpa 60 IN PTR EdgeSwitch 5XP PoE.xxxxx.yyy"
Any other entries are processed without any complaint.
Thanks,
Wolfgang
How did you define these host names?
Maybe there should be a check in the WUI scripts. Therefore my question.
EDIT: I just looked into hosts.cgi There is a check. But the function in general-functions.pl allows spaces, which is wrong for RFC 1035.
We should post an entry in bugzilla.ipfire.org
