Thoughts about NTS to upgrade NTP?

What does the community think about Network Time Security (NTS) in RFC 8915 as an enhancement for the NTP protocol?

I think it’s a good way to pull time and be sure about this.

Getting a manipulated time can cause a lot of problems in modern systems.

It look to me as a logical advance, becaue nowadays everything goes TLS.

So, it’s about time!

What does the community think about Network Time Security (NTS) in
RFC 8915 as an enhancement for the NTP protocol?

Personally, my knowledge regarding NTS is rather dated and based on the
draft discussed at the IETF 104. I would like to have a more secure
alternative to/extension of NTP in IPFire as well, but we should choose
a decentralised one, since we have way too many single points of
failures on the internet already.

In case I have some spare time, I will have a look at NTS
implementations and their adoption in the internet community both server
and client side.
