If the squid proxy is configured with local authentication, can the proxy also be used without logging in?
In the proxy log, entries of URLs without usernames appear, e.g. login.live.com, which probably comes from the operating system. But does that just mean that it was tried, or did the request go through?
Can’t anyone give me an answer? I would like to use the proxy by entering the proxy on the OS but without credentials to prevent the OS from using the VPN, which goes through the firewall.
But is it really always necessary to log in to the proxy or only on port 800?
Are the entries in the proxy log without username blocked requests?
Merry Christmas to all forum users
