The password now always has to be laboriously inserted via the clipboard. Is that supposed to be a security gain?
Welcomed to to the IPFire community.
I also use KeePassXC and it is working without any problems with Core Update 189. Maybe check if the browser has changed the string that is used to recognise the login page.
I used KeePassXC for logging in this morning.
I am using Firefox-132.0.1 with KeePassXC-2.7.9
The change you are seeing has not come from IPFire.
Welcome to the community.
I don’t know whether CU189 changed anything in the login process, nor I know the mechanics of KeePassXC.
Maybe they aren’t compatible anymore.
But nevertheless I would not recommend an external password manager.
If you want security the password should be hidden straight forward, only stored in your brain.
Managers like KeePassXC demand unlocking of the database. This allows everyone with access to the admin computer to access IPFire.
ciao
my installation works and recognizes KeePassXC without any problems. You have to look elsewhere. It’s not an IPFire problem.
