SHA256 hash value not available?

Hi,

I am doing a fresh install of 2.29 v183. I can’t find the hash value listed anywhere but would really like to confirm before I install. Are hash values no longer generated or listed on the website? If so, why?

Hi John.

If you hover over the your selected download the SHA256SUM will show.

How would you compare the Hash values?

I usually copy paste it, into a file but I can’t figure it out from hovering :sweat_smile:

Request.

“Mouse Over” text can not be copied very easily. I had to inspect the HTML source and copy that page element, then select the hash value from within the element. Why not just list the hash value directly on the page so it can be copied into my file scan tool?

Am I missing something basic or am I being too demanding requesting this?

If you have a Linux workstation, then the Dolphin file manager utility will calculate a hash value, then compare it with the correct value, that you paste.
