Samba won't start on boot - missing symlink

Restarted my fw with core 190 and just figured out, that samba won’t start on boot anymore.

I see this:

How to fix that? Thx in advance.

I have just been able to reproduce the picture you showed. I had to first disable samba on its WUI page and then on the services page press the start button. You then get samba started but no symlink created.

It might be that sambactrl is not used in the Services page, only in the samba WUI page.

What you need to do is go to the samba WUI page and press the disable button. After a while you will see that all three daemons are stopped.
Now press the enable button. All three should start but I have found that occassionally the SMB daemon stays stopped. If this happens press the Restart button and then all three will end up Started.

If you now go to the Services page you will see that samba is running and that the boot condition is selected.

When I disable and enable it, I get this:

Services shows this:

I’m confused. The samba service is down/not working but the Services-Overview says that it’s running.

In my reply i said that sometimes the middle daemon does not start and in that case you should press the Restart button. Then you will have all three correctly showing started and the services page also correct.

Yes you are right. I also did a reboot and it’s working again. Some kind of buggy. Thxs a lot.
