Hi !
Its my first setup for samba on ipfire (not samba at all) but i cant the the smb server of ipfire on my win 10 laptop… but i can see it from my linux host…
Must there something done in config which is not possible through webinterface ?
Ciao Gerd
Since Microsoft disabled SMBv1 and NETBIOS in Windows 10+, any samba shares are no longer discovered by windows.
You can still successfully connect to them if you now the details of the share but you can’t see what is available.
An IPFire bug for a Feature Request has been raised on this to implemet the use of wsdd which will allow windows to be able to discover the shares.

It is on my list of things to work to work on and should get included in the next or following Core Updates.
