I am new to IpFire and wonderin were do I configure S.M.A.R.T?
I am running on a RPI4B (4gb) and **IPFire 2.29 (aarch64) - Core-Update 194 Development Build
Another question , will IpFire be released for RPI5?

Welcome. How are you trying to configure SMART? You can look at SMART stats by going to Status->Media and clicking the SMART Information button.
Hi, I have done that but Iget an error message saying
"Read Device Identity failed: scsi error unsupported field in scsi command
If this is a USB connected device look at the various --device=TYPE variants
A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue add one or more ‘-T permissive’ options."
I am using a Seagate usb driver
SD-Cards und USB Drives (non-SSD) don’t support SMART. That’s also what the error message says. The controller needs to support SMART.
I am not positive but I think there is no smartmontools for ipfire. Unless your BIOS has
EDIT: Adolf is right , Smartmontools are in IPFire,
You can click on Status and Media in WUI to see if your Flash memory is supported
smartmontools is part of the core packages. That is what is used to access the smart data from your installed disk drives on the WUI media page.

SMART does work with some, but not all, USB drives, depending on the interface hardware provided in the usb unit.
