I wanted to create a rule that allows GREEN to connect my mailgateway in DMZ (192.168.123.2) with port 8006. A few minutes it was working great but than I added a new rule for SMTP from RED to ORANGE 192.168.123.2 and I lost connection.
It would be great if someone can explain me, what’s wrong with this rule

If I try to connect to the mailgateway there should be an entry in Firewall-Log as I understood the checkbox
But I can not find anything there ..
I think SMTP should be network “any” not “red”
Mail servers need some crazy firewall rules.
Someone that runs a mail server would be more help
Maybe no rule for green, add rule from red to DMZ SMTP

I have found the issue:
I used ALIASES to “use a name instead of an IP” - therefore the IPFire thought she is this IP.
This caused dublicated IPs but without an error message …
