I recently came from Smoothwall. While the web interface is way better in IPFire, I do miss a couple small things Smoothwall had. When editing rules, it would be nice to have checkboxes where you can select multiple rules to delete at once. Sometimes I need to remove several rules at a time, and being able to select multiple to delete would be nice. Editing the rule file itself is always an option, but the rules get mixed up in the file, and are not always in the same order as they are in the web interface.
Also, having a popup to confirm deleting of rules would be good to prevent accidentally deleting rules by mistake. If you accidently delete a rule, it doesn’t take effect until you apply the changes, but there isn’t an undo option.
don’t think there would be any problems with modifying it by adding what you mentioned. The problem is that with the next update, these modifications will disappear, and you’ll have to implement them again. And that happens every time iPFire is updated.
The following needs to be added to the form tag of every delete option throughout the WUI of IPFire. This would help prevent issues with accidently deleting things. A delete confirmation is pretty standard.
onSubmit="if(!confirm('Are you sure you want to delete the selected elements?')){return false;}"
