Qualcomm Missing WIFI

Hi,

I built a new PC with 2x WIFI. The onboard Intel WIFI6E and a additional Qualcomm WIFI 7.

01:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6E(802.11ax) AX210/AX1675* 2x2 [Typhoon Peak] (rev 1a)
02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc WCN785x Wi-Fi 7(802.11be) 320MHz 2x2 [FastConnect 7800] (rev 01)

Driver is loeded.

[root@MM-FW-001 ~]# find /sys | grep drivers.*02:00.0
/sys/bus/pci/drivers/ath12k_pci/0000:02:00.0

But I can’t get the WIFI 7 card to show up in the WUI.

Only the Intel NIC shows up. It’s the same with hostapd.

Whats wrong?

You are either lacking firmware or the driver does not support your revision of the chipset.

Hm I will try Manjaro to see if it’s working, but it has a newer kernel. With Windows 11 it’s working. I know that because I used Windows to USB when updating some firmwares.

Manjaro out of the box didn’t show up the NIC as well, but with the first online update

{C59F7A84-ED5B-4B10-B0B7-C0F7D2E7C695}

it installed additional fw, but still didn’t show up as wifi nic. It switched from the old kernel 6.8 to 6.12 via upgrade, but still not there. I manually switched to version 6.16, no change.

I found this article about broken firmware :pensive_face:

Is there a easy way to replace firmwares in ipfire? I would like to test different versions as mentioned in the linked topic.

They are all in /lib/firmware. You can simple replace the files.
