I have been using IPFire for several years without a hitch between the cable modem and the wireless router. I just installed a TP Ling AX3000 wireless router, The router will not connect to the Green interface. Wondering if the 192.168.x.x address is the issue and if so how to fix it.
How did you define your green network?
How is WAN interface of the TP Link configured?
If green uses DHCP, the TP Link should use this on WAN also.
Configure the TP-Link router
- Operation Mode → Access Point
- Network LAN → Smart IP (Dynamic)
Restart the router
Set a fixed lease DHCP address 192.168.xx.xx for the router in IPFire
Access the router at this address
http://192.168.xx.xx
