Have asked (or at least hinted around) on the dependancy relationships of the OpenVPN setup configuration. It would appear that each time a targets WAN IP address changes, that the whole OpenVPN configuration must be rebuilt since the root/host certificate generation includes the IPFire’s hostname (which changes if the WAN IP address changes). Also the global settings would change for the same reason. Correct?? What is the overall relationship between these three subsections and which need to be reconfigured if the WAN IP address changes?
You have to setup a dynamic dns name for the IPFire and use this instead of the changing ip/hostname.
