I have a routed subnet from the ISP with static IPs. I use ALIASES for the other IPs in firewall rules or IPSec VPN, because one of them has RDNS set which is like it’s FQDN naturally called vpn.domainname.net
.
However, it seems the OpenVPN interface lacks this functionality. I can add the local VPN Hostname/IP, but not choose on which interface the connection arrives.
When I compare the web interface from an OpenVPN N2N connection to an IPSec N2N, IPSec allows me to choose the ALIAS. Also in the Global Settings or Advanced Server Settings of the OpenVPN server I was not able to find a way to choose the interface.
Am I just blind or is this function missing?
