New year regex-glitch in httpd WebIF logfile viewer?

Happy new year, today I’ve encountered a glitch in the logfile viewer with following error message:

Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated here (and will be fatal in Perl 5.32), passed through in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/\G%({ <-- HERE .*?})?./ at /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/services/http line 319.

      2 Other (0.04 MB)

 Requests with error response codes
    401 Unauthorized
       /cgi-bin/index.cgi: 1 Time(s)

my httpd logfile looks unspectacular , mostly speed.cgi for December, the 31st 2019.

I assume a regex new-year glitch?

Hi,

actually, this is a logwatch bug.

Will be fixed in Core 139.

HTH,
Matthias
