Continuing the discussion from IPFire protecting private network on Hetzner Cloud:
I realize this is an old post, but I’m also trying to get this working. I’m unclear on how the Ubuntu server should be configured in the Hetzer console and it’s local network configuration. I’d like to have servers get their IPs from DHCP from the IPFire device. Should the server have both external and internal network on initial setup. And then disable the external NIC on the server locally and change the config for the internal NIC to use the IPFire?

But from what I can tell, there’s no way to use DHCP on the IPFire device as the network is only served by the Hetzner DHCP.
