Ipfire can block instagram on web browser it can’t block on android app

Android ususally doesn’t use the proxy. So a blocking in URLFilter can not function.

Hi,

in the settings of your smartphone’s WLAN connection → manual settings → define proxy IP and port.

Or use NetGuard app on your smartphone to allow only certain servers to be contacted by each app. NetGuard is a firewall app without root that can block access to internet and also filter advertisements for each app. It builds an internal VPN connection to make this happen without rooting the phone. Advantage: it works also on mobile data connection.
