Ipfire does not recognize internet conneciton

So, I got a 4g/5g modem, a Zyxel NR7103.
After a power outage ipfire boots up faster than my modem, and detects no internet connection.
But for some reason it does not detect the internet connection once the modem has finished booting up.
I have to restart ipfire, which I usually do physically on the computer because it is the simplest way.
How can I make ipfire continously check if the internet connection is up?
Maybe one of my networks cards would work better than the other?
Overall I think this feels like a weird issue, and even though I haven’t used modems like this before I have never had a pc router or regular one not not being able to handle that the internet connection comes online after the router has booted up.

Extending delay may help.

Or script it. Set a cron job to run every minute to start dhcpcd if it is ever found stopped (and if you are cute, and if you have a DHCP interface)
