Getting sick of Firefox now

So, all of a sudden, I am now getting this error message from Firefox:

I cannot even add an exception any more. I have closed Firefox, cleared out history, all to no avail.
I can still access the UI via Chrome, but why should I have to now use two browsers to do things???
Firefox is getting like M$ in telling me what to do, instead of allowing me to do normal things.
EDIT: If I access UI via IP address then I can get back in. Let’s see how long THAT lasts though.

It happened to me a while ago, not with IPFire but with another device, and the problem was the time that they were not aligned,

@tratru Are you referring to the computer time?
In any event, I have found out my hosted website uses a wildcard SSL certificate, so can someone perhaps explain to me (or provide a link) to how I can convert a .pem file into a usable format fot IPFire, please?

yes I was referring to the PC or Firewall time

Oh, OK, well, both times are synced as PC gets its time from the firewall and IPFire time is syncing correctly. Thanks.

Click on Advanced.... This should allow you to make an exception. It has been like this for years.

@nickh Please take a look at the image posted again, properly, before firing off irrelevant replies. Thank you.

OK, so I believe I know the answer but I do not appreciate the rude reply so you’ll need to find it elsewhere.

@jon I understand that NORMALLY, that is indeed the correct procedure, however, you will see that in the above image, there is no option to accept and continue, just an option to go back. No matter what I do, I cannot get past the above image. So while under NORMAL circumstances, it SHOULD work, in MY case it is not. Please understand the difference here.

In the image above, there is an Advanced… button. Please click that and send post image.

@jon the image I posted IS AFTER clicking advanced.

ahhh! got it

when Giggling for “in firefox, why no Accept the Risk and Continue button?”

https://www.google.com/search?q=in+firefox,+why+no+Accept+the+Risk+and+Continue+button

There are lots of possible fixes. One of them is clearing all cache and cookies.

One of them is quitting/starting the browser.

One is restarting the computer.

Might one of those help?

@Jon thank you, I have done all that. As I mentioned previously I am getting around it by using the IP address of the IPFire WUI instead of the hostname.

I’ll mark this as solved.

But come back and let us know what happens.

I am curious, do you have any extensions or plug-ins for Firefox? Sometimes this block the wrong items…

@Jon yes I am using Ublock Origin however I have added the IPFire URL to excluded and Ublock has never caused issues.

Just to be sure - Did you clean here too?
