Is it possible to full clone/backup the entire IpFire Image as is ? and i mean everything include firewall rules ddns ips and so on …
I backup via the Backup page both to ISO and Backup. Its enough for me if i will need to restore the image to the same exact point
There are 2 ISO files.
one with backup and base config.
one with standard ISO
The backup ISO keeps your addon configs.
But you must re-install your addons
If you change hardware. you need to run setup to configure your network cards.
I’m not sure it’s any faster than to reinstall new and restore backup.
i’m using clonzilla over serial console for years to create bare metal backups.
works like a charm.
