Freeradius 3.0.21 fails due to missing object libwbclient.so.0

I just filed a bug #12538 against addon freeradius 3.0.21 since it refuses to start due to a missing libwbclient.so.0

Until now I used to run freeradius on a separate host because I didn’t want to install all the additional depending packages like samba, curl, avasd to the addon freeradius offered by IPfire. So I waited and checked every now and then.

Now, after updating the system to core 152 I checked the addon freeradius and joyfully noticed that it didn’t have all these dependencies anymore so I decided to give it a try.

But… it doesn’t start (in debug mode) because of a missing object:

/etc/raddb/mods-enabled/mschap[11]: Failed to link to module 'rlm_mschap': libwbclient.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Maybe someone could have a look?
Much appreciated!

As Michael suggested in his comment to this bug, installing the “samba” package resolved the issue and freeradius is now doing great.

Many thanks!
