Eth3 and eth4 in green net

hallo NG,

hello NG,

can I configure ipfire so that eth3 and eth4 on my ipfire are in the green network? I would like to use the two interfaces for this as my Swich is full and I don’t want to buy a new one

As long as eth3 and eth4 are not being used for any other zone then yes, you can use them in bridged mode using the Zone Configuration in your WUI.

At the top of the Green zone change the setting from Default to Bridge. Then in the green column change the eth3 and eth4 entries from None to Native.

You will then have three ethernet interfaces shown as Native in the Green Zone column and these will be bridged together an will act the same as a switch, so you will have three green ethernet sockets on your IPFire.
