There are some place in the UI where local IP address are shown. But there are entries in Network/Edit Hosts where a link between the hostname and the IP address is done.
It should therefore be possible to replace the local IP addresses with a known FQDN.
ip addresses have to be static instead of dynamic and the only page that would have a listing of ip addresses would be just dhcp addresses that you could reserve an ip address for one of them but it should be outside of the DHCP pool. Then that new static address is used in the hosts menu.

That isn’t true. If the domain isn’t a public domain ( .localdomain, f.e. ) a FQDN can describe a local device, f.e. myserver.bullerbue.localdomain.
I was thinking of TLDN instead of FQDN. My mistake; I will correct it.
