Does IPfire support ECMP?

Hello All,

I just have a special case here.

We will have TWO load balancing routes from Branch to IPFire.

The Branch will use IPFire to access the internet.

My question is,

Supposed the Branch has TWO routes like this:

0.0.0.0/0 → IPFire VPN 1
0.0.0.0/0 → IPFire VPN 2

If the Branch source IP A is now using VPN 2 to access IPFire, is the return traffic from IPFire symmetric [ always Using VPN 2 ] or asymmetric [sometimes VPN 1] ?

My understanding is it must take the same path back.

Asymmetric routing is perfectly supported once you disable the reverse-path filter.
