DNS fails randomly

Sometimes the DNS fails with pages showing this:
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET
Or my Remote Desktop connection fails with “Can’t find computer …”
The “status” of those DNS servers (google and cloudflare) shows a green OK.
This happens when I am using TLS, not ISP-assigned.
I switched to UDP and it seems more stable.

This is puzzling me, any ideas?

I can’t embed media (pictures) to show.

Doing a quick search seems to indicate this is an issue only seen on the Chrome browser. Is that what you are using?

However, a lot of the search results also said that this message can be caused by multiple things.

Can you try an alternative browser? That would indicate if the issue is similar to the search results I found, ie linked to the Chrome Browser or if it is a more generic issue.

A common suggestion I found in many of my search results is to clear the Chrome Browser cache.

I am using Edge (Chromium) and azure-based remote desktop.
Both are failing randomly (sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t).
I didn’t think to try with Firefox.

Well, it just failed to connect with Azure RDP right now, with UDP.
Remote Desktop can’t find “rdgateway-r1.wvd.azure.us

LE: 5 minutes later… it worked.

I think the request it is timing out sometimes. DNS seems sluggish with new pages (not cached).

I think I solved it.
I was testing the ipfire behind my home router. And by habit I specified the DHCP for the Green network as 192.168.1.x, same as my home router DHCP.
Therefore the Red network had the same IP as the Green one.

I changed the Green to 192.168.2.x and it is stable now.
