Did something change in QOS?

I have been using QOS for a while and I check it every six months or so to make sure that bufferbloat is under control.

I usually have been able to get A or A+ rating at Waveform, but this weekend I noticed that I get a B without QOS and a D or F with QOS enabled. I tried several different settings for the QOS and whenever it is turned on the load latency shoots up.

As far as I know, nothing has changed with my cable connection or hardware except regular IPFire updates.

I guess I can live without QOS, but I am curious as to why it suddenly tanks compared to my past experience. Maybe I am missing something.

Run some speed tests with QoS turned off. These are the three I used:

Waveform Bufferbloat (you’ve already used this one)
Cloudflare Bufferbloat

Then verify your In and Out speeds at the top of the QoS page are 3% lower than your fastest speeds.

Once that’s done, reset the QoS by stopping QoS, clicking the Modify button, then clicking the Reset button in the Modify page.

Turn QoS back on and try again.

Tried 3% and that worked. Thanks!
Evidently my connection has improved. In the past, I had to cut it more severely.
