Dhcpcd and ipv6

Hello,

Since ipfire does not support ipv6 I was wondering why the dhcpcd.conf does not contain this option : noipv6

Adding it considerably speeds up the boot/reconnect at least for my ISP

I didn’t check this right now, but normally we compile software like this without support for IPv6.

Did you notice anything working unexpectedly?

Improvement in speed regarding IP assignment and this entry does not appear anymore on the logs :

router dhcpcd[2749]: ipv6_addaddr1: Permission denied

As far as I am aware there is no delay because the system never tries to get an IPv6 address. Does the log indicate this on your system?
