Core Update 184 not booting nano Pi R4S

Hello,

I got a Nano Pi r4s. I do not get Core Update 184 on booting from SD Card. I also get nor serial output.
I tried debian bookworm for ARM - booting…
I tried openWRT 23.05 for ARM - booting

But ipfire Core Update 184 - nothing happens. Anybody got Core 184 fresh install running on a Nano PI r4s and has some tips what is wrong ?

Have you installed the bootloader for R4S on the card after writing the image.

Ups. Do I need to do that ? Sorry I missed that. How to do this? Because the bootloader was automatically included in debian and openWRT. So you mean after writing the ipfire image I need to install an additional bootloader ? Is this possible from windows or do I need an additional linux box for this ?

You need to do this because the bootloader for R2S and R4S is in the same flash locations so we can only preinstall one. (and the R2S was older)

You need a linux box or at least a LiveCD that can mount the ext4 partition and has “dd”
