in the latest release we have dropped few lists and we only have Univ.Toulose by default.
is there another list that we could use?
is there a possibility to include a service similar to pihole for filtering traffic?

Those lists were not dropped, they were removed as the list suppliers had shut down their service so no updates were being provided by them any more. Anyone trying to set them up for the first time was getting no file at all.
The devs have been looking for block lists that are available for the urlfilter with the right licence and likely to provide long term service but so far have not found anything.
If anyone knows of any available lists then please flag them up.

Indeed. We are not aware of any free available lists at the moment.
I happened to see this post and it interests me too. I last year, did a big search and came across this link:

This is the Univ Toulouse blacklist which is the one currently selectable in the IPFire URL Filter.
