Connection issue between blue and a CISCO WC2504

Hi all,

I have out of a sudden a problem where my blue interface configured on a dedicated NIC with VLAN ID 100 cannot connect to a port on a WC2504 where the port is configured with the same VLAN ID.
Both, the port on the WC2504 as well as the NIC on blue are up and running, NICs are showing link signal, changing cable didn’t help. Trying a different port on the WC2504 didn’t help either.

What has happened before was a hardware error on the server where the NIC naming got changed, once IPfire was up again the configuration was a bit messed but after running setup green, orange, and red are working as to be expected, just blue not.

Any ideas?

Best, Oliver

If a tagged port is configured on the IpFire, the device connected to it must also be configured with a tagged port. This means that on the WC2504, the port must be configured as an 802.q trunk with VLAN 100 allowed.

Thank you Alex,

this is the port configuration on the WC2504 and the zone setup on IPFire

btw, all ports on the 2504 are 802.1Q trunks by default
