Can clients and a webserver be connected on external interface?

Hi,

I want clients to access a private webserver through a VPN server.

Normally the configuration would look like:
VPN Client -external interface=> VPN Server -internal interface- Webserver

I plan to host the VPN server (ipfire) and the webserver on different v-servers, so the configuration could look like:
VPN Client -external interface1=> VPN Server <=external interface2- Webserver

Can this be done? (… by creating an extra external interface2 on KVM for the VPN Server?)

OpenVPN do provides his own interface which is routed and therefore a tun interface in IPFire.
