Hello,
Since I installed IPFire on my N100 miniPC, I’ve been experiencing random frequencies at startup.
My machine is a BKHD 1264NP with four 2.5Gb ports.
I’ve tried several optimization tips found on forums by modifying PL1 and PL2 or ACPI in the BIOS.
I also tried the cpufrequtils add-on.
But apart from slowing down the system, the frequency doesn’t really stabilize.
I don’t think this is really a problem.
But does anyone have this type of machine and been able to find the correct BIOS settings?

cpufrequtils is dead → nowadays it’s cpupower

True but until core196 our addon is still called cpufrequtils even if the scripts use cpupower.
With core197 this addon will dropped and the scripts are always installed.
@phil :
Your freqencies looks normal for a N100 which use Intel pstate and switch the frequency depending on cpu load and temperature.
With Pstate you can only set powersave or performance but this not mean you get a stable frequency.

Thank you.
But how can we explain the significant frequency changes during the reboot that occurs every morning at 4:30 a.m.
The charge and temperature must be roughly the same at this time.
