Background processing of IPS rules when [Apply]?

Howdy,

When making changes to IPS rules, are they up to date after Apply or are the updates processed in the background?

For an existing selected ruleset provider, any change such as selecting additional rules does not trigger an update of the ruleset. That is done automatically every 12 hours via an entry in the fcrontab.

If you press the pencil edit icon for a specific ruleset provider then on the page that is opened there is a button to “Force ruleset update”. You can use that button to get the latest ruleset. downloaded if there have been any changes.
