Avahi daemon is using 100% cpu resources after updating to core 151

I installed avahi 0.8-7 on my test bed setup with Core 151 :-
IPFire 2.25 (x86_64) - core151 Development Build: master/a9f69cbf
This was an update to Core 151 Testing from Core 150 Stable.

System info :-
Linux xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 4.14.198-ipfire #1 SMP Mon Sep 28 11:52:54 GMT 2020 x86_64 Intel® Core™ i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

After installing avahi is not running and fails to start. After rebooting avahi is running. Checked the cpu usage and it is running between 0% and 4% usage. Stayed like that for 10 minutes.

x86_64, on a 2007 vintage dual-core Turion (laptop version of Athlon)

https://nightly.ipfire.org/core151/2020-10-14%2013:51:25%20+0000-c9f30dc9/ had avahi 0.7-5, which I did not test, because it was 0.8-6 that was causing problems.

Although the latest build I tested, Master devel build …cd09, has avahi 0.8-7 which is not using much CPU, I am not confident that it is doing anything useful. CUPS does not find my networked printers, which are found by openSUSE. The Turion does not have a supported WiFi chip, so I can’t test whether a phone can connect
