The message should be clear for Intel owners. For those needing to upgrade, here is the result I get with AMD A4 through to Ryzen 3. Most were tested via openSUSE Leap 15.1, but the attached is from A6 quad-core via Core 143.

Note that many fewer mitigations are needed

Yes, I would agree that fewer (and less severe) mitigations are being used for AMD processors.

However, we are still far away from a “good” situation here. They both have incredibly dangerous and severe vulnerabilities. Therefore I would not recommend buying AMD instead of Intel.
