stop or fix pakfire

hello,

i have IPFire 2.27 (x86_64) - Core Update 162

I can’t update ipfire to 164

pakfire says it is already running and I can’t stop it either.

I really can’t find a forum where there is a solution and it’s too much work to reinstall ipfire again.

this is what I get in the terminal and in the browser

PAKFIRE ERROR: Another instance of pakfire is already running!

If you reboot the IPFire box do you get the same error?
