Repo mirrors require https

I have a reoccurring issue with mirror lists regardless of OS. All must accept https connections or the connection will fail. A few OS have https enabled mirrors but most don’t. If I bypass IPfire the regular http connections do work. I have looked in my settings in IPFire and I can’t see where I’ve enabled https only. Can someone point me in the right direction? I’ve examined the wiki and the actual settings in the IPFire and somehow I am overlooking the setting. Maybe I’m looking for the wrong thing? Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Did you set-up ipfire proxy server ?

I have proxy set-up to manuel port 800 without any trouble.

Hi,

sorry for the late reply - dayjob keeps me quite busy…

Based on your description, I cannot tell I have ever observed a similar issue, running Windows, several Linux and BSD flavours behind IPFire, all fetching updates well.

Could you please elaborate more detailed on which operating systems are affected, and what your network setup generally looks like (if possible, draw a simple map of it for better understanding)?

Thanks in advance, and best regards,
